FLASH
FICTION
SUBMISSIONS
Slick Friction
is now accepting submissions for erotic romance flash
fiction. Word count should not exceed 750 words.
Flash fiction stories are usually published only on our website.
We will, however, occasionally publish anthologies of erotic
romance short stories with flash fiction pieces scattered
within. These anthologies may or may not be
theme based. We also run erotic flash fiction contests from
time to time. Check back often for contest rules and
deadlines.
Submissions should be double-spaced, Times New Roman, font
size 12 and sent as Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) or rich
text format (.rtf) files.
All files should be named using the following convention:
title_author_wordcount
For example:
Snakes and Honey_Scarlet Madwin_478
The subject line of the email should read:
Submission for title, author, word count
For example:
Submission for Snakes and Honey, Scarlet Madwin, 478
For flash fiction submissions please send the entire story as an attachment to your
e-mail. In the body of your e-mail please include a brief
overview of the story and a brief (150 words
or less) biography at the end of your email.
We do accept multiple submissions, however, they should be
sent in separate e-mails so they can be more easily tracked.
Unfortunately, the editors of Slick
Friction do not always have time to respond personally
to each submission. If we are interested in publishing your
flash fiction piece, we will contact you within 3 months of
submission. If you have not heard from us within 90 days,
you may assume we will not be using your submission story. Simultaneous submissions to other publishers are
acceptable, but you must make us aware of this in your
e-mail and keep us apprised of your story's situation.
PAYMENT FOR FLASH FICTION
If we include your flash fiction story as a "free read" on our
website, there is no payment involved. However, you will
receive full credit for your story including your biography
and a link to your website or a website where your work is
published or sold.
If your flash fiction short story is included in an electronic or print
anthology, you will receive the electronic version of the
book. |
